After graduating from the acupuncture program at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Catherine Zwergel expanded her studies in Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition, completing her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. In addition to acupuncture, she also incorporates Aroma Acupoint Therapy (AAT), Zero Balancing body work, as well as the TCM modalities of tui na, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion.
Catherine began her practice in 2013 and is licensed for acupuncture in Illinois and nationally board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In addition to the clinical internship requirements for licensure, she completed a four-year internship with Claudette Baker, L.Ac., a long-standing practitioner of and advocate for acupuncture since 1985.
In 2018, Catherine relocated her primary practice from Evanston to Wilmette, Illinois, in a new space she knows you’ll find warm and welcoming.
